Welcome to Iowa

First picture of our trip! This was before the boredom set in. :) Huge thanks to Livvy and the use of her game lingo on the kindle! Seriously think we played that for at least ten hours.

And our new apartment! I didn't want to show too many pictures of the outside just for safety reasons but since our little town is pretty low crime I figured these would be fine. :) This is the back of the complex. It's really nice because almost all of our neighbors are elderly. So it's pretty quiet. There is a young couple who live downstairs and they have quickly become our best friends. They have two little girls and he is an engineer too! We really like them and seriously, this town would be so depressing without them!

Trees everywhere! We don't have to close our blinds because there are trees on all sides of us. It's great!

Our new front door! :) The locks got changed when the last people moved out and they are really sticky so it takes us a few good tries to get the door to open. Haha. It's kind of annoying but mostly funny.

Well we made it! After two long days in the Uhaul we finally arrived in our new little town! The last week and a half has been an adjustment for sure but so far we are really enjoying being here and settling in. Iowa is so much different than I expected! Everyone was telling me how flat it is, and while there aren't any mountains, it definitely isn't flat. And there are trees everywhere! So thick in fact that you can't even see the next street over, which is kind of wonderful and also kind of troublesome when you are new to town and get lost easily! :)

I made a few little videos of the trip so I'll do a separate post for those!

We miss everyone but things are going pretty great here and it's nice to be done with school and have a real job!
